These terms cover Panels and the other software and services from Lucinite LLC ("Lucinite", "we"), and this website. By using them or buying from us, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use them.

Who you are buying from

Purchases on this website are processed by Paddle.com, our online reseller. Paddle is the Merchant of Record for these orders: it takes your payment, handles tax and issues your receipt, and its buyer terms apply to the sale. Lucinite provides the software and its support.

Copies from the Mac App Store or the Microsoft Store are sold by Apple or Microsoft, under that store's own terms.

Panels for Mac: free and Pro

Panels for Mac has a free tier that you can keep using without paying. A new copy from this website starts with a 7-day trial of the Pro features, and returns to the free tier when the trial ends. Panels Pro is a one-time purchase. There is no subscription.

Your license

A Panels Pro license lets one person use Panels Pro on up to 3 of their own Macs. It covers the major version it was bought for, and any updates to that version we choose to release. A later major version may be a separate purchase, and the version you have keeps working. A Windows license is separate from a Mac license.

We license the software to you; we do not sell it to you. You may not share or resell your license key, copy or redistribute the software, or reverse engineer it or get around its license checks, except where the law allows this regardless of these terms.

Activation

Your license key is activated online, and Panels checks in with our license server from time to time. If a Mac cannot check in for 30 days, Pro features turn off on that Mac until it can, and it keeps running on the free tier. The privacy policy says what is sent.

Refunds and ending a license

The refund policy explains how refunds work. A license ends if its purchase is refunded or charged back, or if you break these terms. Pro features then turn off, and Panels keeps running on the free tier.

Other services

Some tiles show content from other companies, such as weather, news, maps and stock quotes. We do not control those services, they can change or stop, and their information may be late or wrong. Do not rely on it for important decisions.

No warranty

The software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that it will be error free or will run without interruption.

Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Lucinite is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for the product concerned. Nothing here limits rights that you have by law and that cannot be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms in place when you bought a license continue to apply to that purchase.
